Homework (+tools & materials) Due 3/28 (Thursday class) & 4/2 (Tuesday class)

EDITED WITH CORRECTION TO COPTIC BINDING TEXT BLOCK DIMENSION ON 3/28/13

Homework for 3/28 (Thursday class) and 4/2 (Tuesday class)

  • Complete any remaining cover prep from today’s class at home
  • Watch this video lecture by book artist Peter Thomas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFduX7YTRl4). It’s a fun little exploration of book arts v. artist books (he even busts out a ukelele and sings in the middle). Write a blog post reaction to the video explaining whether you agree or disagree with the things he says.
  • Prep cover materials for next class (details below)
